Visit this beautiful and impressive museum
Thorvaldsen’s Museum in central Copenhagen was Denmark’s first public museum. This impressive and colourful building is home to sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen’s art and collections. A visit to this museum is a unique architectural experience – you can explore Thorvaldsen’s sculptures and visit his antiques collection and his unique collection of Golden Age paintings. There are also plenty of activities on offer, all year round. Come and enjoy our intimate concerts, talks and creative activities for the kids.
Crash courses in drawing for kids and their adults
Throughout the summer, Thorvaldsen’s Museum offers crash courses for the whole family in drawing in proportion. Classes are small, with a maximum of ten participants. The courses are suitable for children from the age of seven, although younger siblings are also welcome. Our instructors are professional artists, each with their own approach to portrait painting.
